Ancient Voices and Roman Revolution



This site has mp3 files (audio recordings) of English translations of the works of ancient authors writing at the time of the Roman Revolution. This era, ushered in by the activities and deaths of the Gracchi brothers, culminated in the assassination of Julius Caesar and the reign of Octavian (Augustus Caesar). This marked the end of the Roman Republic and the start of the Roman Empire.
